There are so many ways the CRVer can be led astray by contact with the tasker's information that having a well-trained and dedicated "go-between" is not only a good practice, but virtually necessary for getting reliable results. This is true for the police department that is working with only a single psychic investigator, as well as for organizations which employ teams of CRVers.

"Well trained" means knowledgeable of all aspects of the controlled remote viewing process on a first-hand basis. "Dedicated" means a person who is adamant about keeping the viewers clean of any information which might influence their work or eventually affect its credibility.

P>S>I holds to a strong policy that a single remote viewer should not work alone, but should have the benefit of a staff of people who will:

1. Review the tasking before it is given to the viewer. If there are any possibilities for misunderstanding (unintentional double meanings, vague wording, etc.), if there is any hint that the customer is "tasking a CAT" (see below), or if any background information has made its way into the wording of the tasking questions, the questions are re-worded to be "neutral" in nature. The reworded tasking is then checked with the customer, to be sure that it asks for the information that is really wanted. The goal of rewording is to insure that the question will not provide any information which would lead the Viewer in any way.

2. Act as the "go between" between the viewer and customer, in order to prevent pollution which would affect the viewer's work and accuracy.

P>S>I strongly advocates that the viewer has both the right and the obligation to call an end to any session in which pollution from the customer pollutes their session, and places a strong responsibility on all project personnel for protecting the viewer from such information.

3. Protect the viewer's identity, so the viewer will not get calls from the customer at 3 AM, and will not be in danger when working criminal and other cases in which the information provided could make enemies for the viewer.

4. "Professionalize" the viewer's results into wording and formatting which will be acceptable and useful to the customer. Therefore, the viewer does not have to know how to speak "police-ese", "research & development-ese", etc. The viewer's results are thereby presentable by the customer as professional work, removing the stigma of the word "psychic" from it.

When a viewer is working without a support team, he/she is always subjected to pollution from the customer, in terms of the customer's preconceived notions, fears, desires, logic, imagination, etc. When a viewer works alone, a pollution-free environment is just not possible.
