As mankind spreads out across space, crime will be a constant companion. The problems which will face police forces will be different on every planet, and vastly different in space stations and stopover points across the galaxy. The simple act of aiming a gun depends on the pull of the local gravitational field.

This novel tracks the training and personal story of one young female cadet as she enters the elite corps of federal police who are trained for duty in both gravity-less space and the varying gravitational fields posed by panetside duty on different worlds.

It also tracks the last days of her father who is a criminal wanted by the feds.
